She parlays some of her sculptures and wood work into everyday items like wall clocks. She draws her inspirations from the multi-hued, multi-cultural backdrop of the multi-ethnic people that she comes in contact with. A huge chunk of that stems from the African Culture and her deep connections to her African heritage: She considers her talent a gift and draws her deepest inspirations through introspection, looking inward and drawing upon her inner self. She describes here dreams and thoughts as her visual gift. She sometimes feel that she is driven by an invisible force deep within her which seems to guide her mind and her hand towards the right idea. A former student of The Center Media Arts and Fashion Institute in New York City fashion capital of the world. Lila also studied print making at the Bob Blackburn Studio with New York ‘s finest sculptor artist Otto Neal. Lila has always displayed a gift for artistic expressions.
